Historic Rules for Reading the Bible

Derek Morphew Puplications

[Kindle eBook]

Fantastic and exciting book. I loved the clear hermeneutical principles in it. This book has deepened both my understanding of scripture and my ability to actually teach it. Excellent and freeing book that is well worth the read.

I read this awhile ago now, but clearly remember it along with Ladd's book bending my mind and changing my grid for looking at the Kingdom of God. Morphew has a lot to say on this subject and all of it is well worth reading.

This was a good book and a fantastic look at the book of Matthew. Derek attacks the book from a enacted, inaugurated eschatological perspective, it is really refreshing.

Umm definitely not my favourite of Derek's books. I think I spent to much time bogged down on individual words and bible verses. It was worth its read and did deepen my understanding of Luke and Acts

Interesting and educational read. I really really liked the section on Peter. This rest of the book was also good particularly the themes of 'authority and conflict' and 'the Messianic secret'.

There were a few spelling mistakes in the book, but hopefully these will be ironed out before the book hits Amazon. (After emailing Derek, this appears to be the case)

Excellent wee book, not only did it open up Hebrews, it also brought me into worship.
